Robel Wolde’s career as an artist is marked by a series of notable exhibitions and achievements that have solidified his reputation in the Ethiopian art scene and beyond. Born in Addis Ababa on September 14, 1993, Robel has always been deeply connected to his Ethiopian roots, and this connection is evident in his work. His artistic journey began in the studios of Addis Ababa, where he spent years perfecting his technique and exploring the cultural and modern themes that define his style. Robel’s dedication to his craft has led him to participate in numerous prestigious exhibitions, both in Ethiopia and internationally. His work first gained significant recognition in 2012, when he was featured in a group exhibition at the Alliance Ethio-Francis in Addis Ababa. This was followed by a series of group exhibitions at prominent venues such as the Sheraton Hotel’s Art of Ethiopia event in 2017, the Goethe Institute in 2013, and the National Museum of Ethiopia. Each of these exhibitions provided Robel with the opportunity to showcase his unique perspective and establish himself as a rising star in the Ethiopian art community.
