
Wendwesen Kebede Abera, born in 1983 in Dukem, Ethiopia, is a celebrated artist and historian who merges visual art with historical insight. He earned dual BA degrees in Applied History and Painting from Addis Ababa University, where his passion for storytelling through culture and art began to flourish. His career spans education, media, and fine arts, including work as a teacher, journalist, and radio storyteller. Wendwesen’s art has been showcased globally, with exhibitions in Ethiopia, New York, South Korea, Greece, Dubai, and Colombia. As Secretary General of the All Ethiopians Visual Artists Association, he actively advocates for Ethiopian artists and cultural preservation. His work reflects a deep commitment to Ethiopian heritage, using art as a medium to educate, inspire, and connect audiences worldwide.
