Robel Wolde

Robel Wolde, born in Addis Ababa on September 14, 1993, is an Ethiopian artist whose work combines cultural heritage with contemporary artistic expression. His artistic journey began in Addis Ababa, where he developed a distinctive approach that brings together tradition and modernity. His career gained recognition through his participation in the 2012 group exhibition at Alliance Ethio-Française in Addis Ababa, followed by exhibitions at the Sheraton Hotel’s Art of Ethiopia event, Goethe Institute, and National Museum of Ethiopia. In 2015, he held his first solo exhibition at the Venetian Hotel, followed by another solo exhibition at Harmony Art Studio in 2016. His work has also been exhibited in Ireland, Kuwait, and Canada, including participation in the Ethio-Kuwait Cultural Festival in 2019 and the online group exhibition Happiness by Biafarin.com in 2022. He is currently a full-time studio artist at Harmony Art Studio, continuing to develop his creative practice and explore Ethiopian culture through contemporary art.
